This reading felt a little bit scattered, like Tony said: "Here's all of the people with their fingers in the pot." Which helped to put it into perspective for me, since I wasn't sure what the point was without some sort of strong unifying thread in the article.
I love love love the diagram explaining the prduction flow on page 856. In understanding the flow, I realized how much I didn't know about the process and what I still need to learn about it.
I'm surprised at how important the contractors are in the industry, since I was under the impression that "almost all the development happens under one roof." I'm really pleased to know how much structure that the industry has developed and the places available to me to work.
